The weight of kibble per cup varies significantly: small kibble averages 100–115g per cup, medium kibble 120–130g, and large breed kibble 95–110g due to more air between pieces. Scooping directly from the bag (which compresses kibble) can add 10–15% more per cup versus spooning kibble in. For accurate feeding, weighing food in grams is strongly recommended over volume measurement.
