How It Works
Kennel size requirements differ from crate sizes — kennels are used for longer periods and must allow movement. The minimum floor area for a single dog in a kennel or run is calculated as at least 4× the dog's body area (body length × width). Height must allow the dog to stand and jump without hitting the roof. Run length should be at least 3× the dog's body length to allow some exercise. These are absolute minimums — larger is always better.
